چکیده

The problem of objectivity, i.e. how to explain on quantum grounds the objective character macroscopic world, is one aspects celebrated quantum-to-classical transition. Initiated by W. H. Zurek and collaborators, this gained some attention recently with several approaches being developed. aim work compare three them: Darwinism, Spectrum Broadcast Structures, strong Darwinism. paper concentrated foundations, providing a synthetic analysis realize idea objectivity they are related each other. As byproduct analysis, proof generalized Structure theorem presented. Recent Darwinism experiments also briefly discussed.

Quantum Darwinism and Envariance*

Effective classicality of a property of a quantum system can be defined using redundancy of its record in the environment. This allowes quantum physics to approximate the situation encountered in the classical world: The information about a classical system can exist independently from its state. In quantum theory this is no longer possible: In an isolated quantum system the state and the infor...

Darwinism in Quantum Systems?

We find quantum mechanics playing a role in evolutionary dynamics described by the notion of an Evolutionarily Stable Strategy (ESS). An ESS being a refinement of Nash equilibrium concept is a stable strategy in an evolutionary game with replicator dynamic as the underlying process. We investigate ESSs in two and three player symmetric quantum games played by the proposed scheme of applying ′id...

Non-Markovianity hinders Quantum Darwinism

We investigate Quantum Darwinism and the emergence of a classical world from the quantum one in connection with the spectral properties of the environment. We use a microscopic model of quantum environment in which, by changing a simple system parameter, we can modify the information back flow from environment into the system, and therefore its non-Markovian character. We show that the presence...

Quantum Darwinism in quantum Brownian motion.

Quantum Darwinism--the redundant encoding of information about a decohering system in its environment--was proposed to reconcile the quantum nature of our Universe with apparent classicality. We report the first study of the dynamics of quantum Darwinism in a realistic model of decoherence, quantum Brownian motion. Prepared in a highly squeezed state--a macroscopic superposition--the system lea...
